Does signing mean I have to vote for the candidate?
No, it simply allows the party to exist
Will my name and signature be public? It is an endorsement?
Your information is used by the Elections Ontario to verify that you indeed did sign. It is not a public declaration of endorsement
What difference does it make if I sign?
Just a small signature can have a huge impact in the community in increasing representation long term. With your signature alone a candidate who might not otherwise have had the resources to run will be eligible to put their name down and represent their community. This representation dominoes to increase the spotlight on issues faced by those communities, and inspires other younger people from that community to aspire to follow the same path to better their community in the long term
